Varjo makes revolutionary virtual and mixed reality hardware and software that is jumpstarting a completely new era in immersive computing where real and virtual worlds merge seamlessly.

Your host

Krista Jäntti is Lead UX Designer at Varjo. Krista is currently researching how VR and XR technologies are changing the future of work, design and social connectivity. What kind of workplace will virtual reality be like? Before joining Varjo, Krista worked in IT consulting for over 15 years. She has developed and designed digital products from the perspective of the end-user and stakeholders for nearly all major Finnish companies. She loves exploring future technologies such as VR/XR, as she can then think of new ways of interacting, and design things that no one else has done before.

KäY’s autumn meeting and Pre-Christmas party

Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. @ Vaasankatu 10, Helsinki.

Welcome to KäY’s autumn meeting and Pre-Christmas party on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 5:30 p.m.

Welcome to the Käyttäjän ystävät (Friends of the user) pre-Christmas party in Vaasankatu’s cabin and sauna near Kurvi. In the spirit of a pre-Christmas, there’s drinks and small Christmasy snacks for everyone. The sauna is on, so bring your towel and other sauna accessories with you if you want to jump on the steam!

The Christmas party is preceded by our autumn meeting where we will choose a new board for 2020 and decide on the yearly plan of operation and budget. If you are considering working in a student organisation or want to participate in organising events for usability students in the Helsinki area, join us!

All student members of the association are entitled to vote at the meeting. The agenda for the meeting can be found in the link sent to the members’ emails.

To estimate the food and the beverages, we encourage you to pre-register for the party in Eventbrite via the following link: No need to register for the Autumn Meeting!

The venue is wheelchair accessible.
